| American House is located
in Northern California, near the town of La Port and along Slate Creek. The road to the creek is steep with around 5 switchbacks and some off camber spots. At the bottom you'll have to cross a large bed of river rock and cross Slate Creek before you get to the OHV camp area. This trail and camp has been adopted by the Sierra Treasure Hunters, a family oriented 4x4 club with a wide range of vehicles. This is an official Adopt-A-Trail in conjunction Cal4x4 and the Plumas National Forest. On the right is a small photo album from this trip.
